2009 Accord LX 2.4 issue

Hey Mr. Kilmer, I recently bought an Accord and sometimes when I crank the engine, I have to turn and hold the key several seconds before it fires up. It does this only sometimes and most of the time, the car cranks normal.

When the car has trouble cranking, three lights come on in the instrument cluster. VSA/Tire Low/Check Engine.

When that happens, I kill the engine and count to 20 and restart it. That makes all the lights except for the check engine light disappear. This doesn't affect the ability to drive the car in any way once it's cranked.

Scan tool shows code P0339. "Crank APK sensor/relay" and I put a new sensor in. No luck. Found a Honda Service Bulletin for a software update that matched my car. Paid local Honda dealer to update the software. $130 1 hour labor and didn't fix it.

Swapped out the starter. New starter sounds healthy but the problem remains.

Checked fuses and relays and made sure my battery was fully charged. Car's electrical system seems to have an issue, because my 12v Air compresssor keeps burning my 15 amp fuses for the power sockets inside the car.

If you can help me figure this out, I'll mail you some excellent homemade beef jerky of mine.
