2006 Toyota Matrix...I’m having trouble with the rear brakes...this matrix has drum brakes On the rear tires. I heard a scratch sound in the rear when I would press the brake pedal just a little bit (backing out of driveway, approaching a stop sign in the neighborhood, at slow speeds). It wasn’t constant but more of a rotational thing, for example I felt like I was hearing it once with every rotation of the tire. I’m new to repairing my car but replaced the brake shoes and the entire drums with e help of your videos. The brake material on the old Shoes seemed to be fine but I replaced them anyway. I felt like a champ doing it! The scratch noise Occurs less often, however, I still hear it a couple times a week. Any ideas? Did I not grease the Contact points enough, or is there else you think may be going on. When I’m on the road and press the brakes harder or just regular I don’t hear the noise. The noise is only present when I lightly press the brake pedal like when I’m in a parking garage or parking light and I’m using light brake pressure.
