2004 Lincoln Navigator Powersteering and shifter mechanism
Colin McC
Hi Scotty, I watch your videos all the time. I'm 15 and from St. Catharines, Ontario Canada. I have a 2004 Lincoln Navigator I'm learning to fix on. The truck has 350,000 miles or 570,000 Km. It has an aftermarket security system with remote start which I know how much you love. I have 2 questions, The steering is hard during idle yet easier at high revs, Is it just the fluid and should I flush it or is it the pump. The second question is The shop that did the brake lines on it broke part of the shifter, almost a $220 USD part, I can't find any expeditions or navigators with the center shifter in a junkyard, what are my options. There was glue all over the part that broke, They won't pay for it has I took it off their lot without mentioning as I didn't want to accuse anyone without contacting my dad that could have broken it by accident. Without the shifter mechanism piece, the Key gets stuck in the ignition, and I have to disconnect the battery which concerns me with the aftermarket security system. The Shop also left the Key in the ignition on the corner of a busy street for almost 3 months. Thanks
