2002 Dodge Grand Caravan - ABS light comes and goes. The traction control system switches off and I get the dash ABS light. Seems to be random. It used to happen on long drives or very hot weather and now it is happening more often. I would really like to find this annoying bug. I am using Car Doctor on my android phone with a BT adapter. As I understand, these things only talk to the ECM and it is showing no codes. Like most people the budget is tight so I am willing to try some hit and miss rather than purchase a very expensive computer reader. I would appreciate some good direction.

Local autoparts stores have scanners you can borrow / rent. May not be better than you have but worth a try. Also, could be a speed senor, which is a much cheaper and easier fix than an ABS warning light might imply. Still, need the code and google search to go the right path.

see this video, only a guy with that kind of a machine can analyze it, guessing is foolhardy. But it's failsafe system, so maybe live without abs.
