Hi Scotty, I just had a question about my 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 4WD with the 6.0 Vortec engine. The truck has only 30,000 miles on it and I am the original owner who purchased it back in 2000. It has been mainly used to plow as I live in a suburb just south of Boston Ma. It has done a few trips to New Hampshire when towing my camping trailer but that was well over 10 years ago. The truck still has its original set of spark plugs and spark plug wires. I have noticed hesitation when stepping on the gas hard and the RPM's tend to bounce in one spot for a few seconds and then start to climb like normal. I am assuming it is just time for a tuneup. I do not have a check engine light but it does do this bouncing of RPM's often when stepping heavy on the gas. If I drive it normal the problem is not there. What do you think is the best type of spark plug is for my situation with the truck being used mostly just for plowing and dump runs? I am unsure on whether to use copper, Platinum, Iridium, ect. I know that there are all different types I can get but not sure what would be best for my situation. Also, I am planning on replacing the spark plugs wires as well. Should I go with the ACdelco Spark Plug wires as those have lasted me 18 years or is there another brand you recommend? Are Bosch spark plugs decent? Thank you in advance!
use ac delco wires and spark plug. And have the fuel injectors pressure cleaned as in this video
