MV Augusta Limited Edition RVS#1

Italian power and design - motorcycle as performance art.

While Ducati's special edition Diavel Diesel went for brute strength, the RVS#1 from the Reparto Veicoli Speciali (or Limited Run) division of MV Augusta is going for stealth and performance.

At the heart of the RVS#1 is MV Agusta's in-line three-cylinder 800 cc engine: kicking out 150 hp at 12,800 rpm. The company carefully selected components for lightness and practicality to drastically reduce bike weight to just 160 kg (353 lbs.) - eight kg (18 lbs) less than the standard MV Augusta Dragster 800 RR. That's a weight-power ratio of 0.93 kg (2 lbs) per hp. Tie that to a neck snapping acceleration of 0-100 kph (0-60 mph) in 3.72 sec and you've got a stealth machine that will be gone before anyone sees you coming.

Add a plethora of other race parts and special components and you've got a truly high performance limited edition work of art. MV Augusta hasn't set a specific price yet, the range expected to be between $25,000 to $30,000.

But the numbers are just data. We think pictures are still worth a thousand words.
